It has been just over a month ago that we landed in Barrie now and we love it here. We are living in town close to everything, including the water just downtown. We celebrated Canada a few days ago with a huge 15 minute display of awesome fireworks and then a long walk by the water waiting for traffic to go away. We got home a midnight!
William is doing well in his new position as Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship. He has his hands full, but he's staying above water. Learning names is a challenge for us both. Everyone knows us, but we don't know them! But slowly we are making the connections as time goes on.
I am doing my own Graphic Design business from home as well as helping out at the church with Day Camp this summer.
Time is flying by, but we've enjoyed the move and the people are very friendly and welcoming. We're getting to know the town pretty good. We love to take drives to places we've never been and just check out new areas. We're looking forward to maybe doing some camping again this summer if the weather stops being so rainy and overcast all the time.

On the Move
Well our time here in Caronport is quickly approaching it's end. William and I will be moving to Barrie, ON, where he will be working full time as Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship at Willow Creek Baptist Church and I will continue my own Graphic Design business from home.
We are looking forward to this weekend as William's and my parents and his siblings will be in town for his graduation. It seemed like it was a long time coming, but as we look back, time has gone by quickly.
I finished my last day of work on Friday. I have been working at the school as their full time Graphic Designer for 5 years. It was my first full time job, so there will be many things I will miss, and well some I won't. It felt weird handing in my keys at the end of the day, but I am glad to be moving on to new opportunities.
So we are busy packing up our place. We will leave here April 30 and take our time driving home. We look forward to the road trip and taking many, many pictures. Hopefully there won't be any snow. It just snowed here yesterday! Thankfully it all melted today!

Christmas and New news
Again it has been too long since I updated our blog. Seeing that we just had Christmas I figured I'd post some family pictures and as well tell you about some new news for those of you who haven't heard yet.
We haven't been able to say anything till now, but we are moving to Barrie, Ontario this year. William and I received a phone call the day after we returned from Honduras from Pastor Godfrey, Senior Pastor at Willow Creek Baptist Church. He asked us to pray about coming and William serving as Associate Pastor of Youth and Worship. After many weeks of prayer and interviews, we said yes to coming and taking the position. We are very excited, but sad to leave our home in SK too. We know Pastor Godfrey as he was our College and Career Pastor at the MET in Ottawa.
Right now we are in the midst of fixing up some things in the house, and then we'll be putting it up for sale. It is very hard to sell trailers in Caronport, especially in the winter time, so we're praying for God's perfect timing. So we don't know when we'll be moving yet, but we'll keep this blog updated on how the progress is going.
William finished his studies just before Christmas and will graduate with a BA in Christian Ministries in April, here at Briercrest College. I am continuing to work up until we leave.

Will's Dollorama fire truck, I got him. Will is a paid volunteer fire fighter in Caronport, so this suits him well. Doesn't that face look just like he's a kid all over again.

The Prairies
Wow it has been quite awhile since I wrote. It has been non stop busy since returning to Canada. I'll try to do better.
Fall has pretty much arrived in Saskatchewan. The leaves are changing colour, the fields are golden brown and the air a little cooler. William and I had some fun taking pictures the other day of our beautiful prairies and pretty sunsets. With no trees or hills out this way, you can see the horizon forever and the colours in the sky are endless. The prairies are truly breath taking.

Okay so this isn't a prairie or family photo, but William was proud of this picture. He's on the fire department here as a payed volunteer and he moved up in the ranks so he got some new gear. He was very excited!

Our anniversary
William and I were able to celebrate our 3rd anniversary in Honduras on Aug. 21. We wanted to make it memorable so we decided to go and take some pictures at the plant place we had visited when we first arrived in Honduras. I've also added a few more pictures of Dave and Esther and the Vissers family, these were the missionaries we were working with. Enjoy!
