This past weekend, our church, Moose Jaw Church of God, held our second annual Family Fest 2007 in Crescent Park. Although the weather wasn't the greatest to start out we still had a great turn out and many people were able to partake in the activities. By 3pm the sun was shining and were all starting to warm up.
Our morning started out with 8am set-up and than from 10-11 we had our church service. Will, Sharon and I were able to lead the worship. Pastor Larry shared a message afterward. After the service we did a free hot dog and chip lunch, followed by snow cones and cotton candy later in the afternoon.
We had lots of activities from the dunk tank, to Jolly Jumps, Kids games, Face painting, Colouring contest, Strong man demonstration, music, Science Center, Crafts and more... and of course some awesome prizes.

First time
Well this is our first attempt at blogging. I think I have most of it figured out. I guess I should get more familar with it before we leave for our trip, seeing I'll be using this quite a bit to keep friends and family updated on what it is we're doing.
I'll be sure to post some pictures too.
Well only 29 more days to go and we will be in Seguetaepeque, Honduras. We fly to Minneapolis on the 8th and sleep over night and on the 9th we fly out at 8am to San Pedro. We'll probably hang around the airport till the missionaries, Dave and Esther fly in from Ontario themselves, than we'll be heading to the camp from there with them.
Our support has come in quickly, praise the Lord. We are very blessed and so excited to go. Please continue to pray for us. Here are some prayer requests before we leave.
1. The rest of our support would come in
2. We are getting our shots this Wednesday, that there wouldn't be any side effects
3. Stay healthy
4. Melanie's thyroid would stay consistant throughout our trip
5. Melanie's back pain would minimize and not bother her before we leave or when we are there
6. Be able to wrap up work and school quickly
Well I think that is all. I have emailed some of you this blog, but if you know of someone else that would be interested in praying for us and keeping up to date please feel free to pass along our blogger address to them. melwillwalker.blogspot.com
God Bless
