REMIX/HONDURAS Missions Trip 2011

Welcome to our next MISSIONS ADVENTURE in life! Thanks for joining us on this journey and we hope the information and pictures posted here will give you a glimpse into what we have been preparing for and for what is to come.

William and I will be taking a group of youth from our youth group and some leaders on a missions trip to Toronto REMIX and then on to Honduras from June 28-July 3.

Please feel free to check this blog every so often for updates and pictures as we embark on this journey together! Thank you all for your prayers, your support and your encouragement.

Some background info on our trips...
Toronto Remix is a training week for our youth, to learn more about how God wants us to serve others, to be used by Him, and to step out of their comfort zones, in their own backyards! From morning in class training sessions to afternoon outreach activities kids learn to put practical skills into everyday serving and sharing the Good News with others. This trip is from June 28-July 3.

On July 3-July 16 a group of 18 of us will then fly to Siguatepeque, Honduras, where Will and I did his internship in 2007 with missionaries Dave and Esther Bettney. We will be staying at the school where Dave and Esther work for 2 weeks and will be running a VBS, building a children's jungle gym in the school playground, painting murals and more. We will also have the opportunity to visit a local community close to the school to plan another VBS as well as help with pouring cement, playing with the children and serving that community in whatever way we can.

Please continue to pray with us as we prepare to GO!
