Greetings,
Today was our first day of VBS. We had about 70 kids arrive at 8am this morning and had a great time getting to know them, singing songs, sharing Bible stories, learning memory versus and playing games. Our Kindergarten and Grade 1 and 2 kids were the most rambunctious, but all very cute. The boys got in a good game of soccer on the cement pad as the field is still quite wet from all the rain we have been having.
We started on our work projects after lunch, but our painting and park work came to a quick halt when it started to pour rain again and thunderstorm. Thunderstorms last a long time here! Others of us worked in the library sorting through books, and a few worked in the carpentry shop making benches for the community we'll be visiting on Saturday.
We are just about ready to head off for dinner, so I'll leave you with some more praises and prayers and of course photos of our day.

Jon G. as he has had some issues this past week with cold sores and is finishing up his meds, but it's still bothering him, so we are keeping a close eye on him.

Rain, that it would not be so much so we can get a good head start on our work projects and that the sun would shine a little more!

Mmmmm fish for lunch today, soooooo good!!!Making cement in Honduras is another rigorous task. You mix cement and sand together, form a well and pour in water. Then mix and mix and mix all by hand!

Thanks so much for posting these pictures and keeping us updated. Technology sure is great! It is wonderful to see our kids faces serving the Lord. We are praying for you all. Remind Jenna that a neighbour of ours was hoping she could bring back some Honduran cigars for him as they are his favourite kind! Not that I agree with the concept, but just the thought of thinking of him might mean something!!
Hi Sharon, I will. She actually did say something about it at the airport as we were flying, but I'll remind her again. Thanks for your prayers, we really appreciat it.
