Here are some more pics of where we are living. We did not expect this, so it has been a huge blessing for us. The missionaries that live in this house are on furlow, so they were so happy to have us house sit for them. There is so much crime in Honduras so every window is barred and all the properties have gates around them, often with barbed wire at the top. Most also have guard dogs.
Just before we arrived the gas tank for their stove that sits outside there house was stolen. Apparently it was worth about $50 US.
Our walk up to the camp every morning takes about 10 min. all up hill. The roads are just broken up rocks, so you have to be careful where you step. We saw a mother pushing her baby in a stroler up the hill ahead of us. I don't know how she did it with all the crush rock and uneven ground. Makes me thankful for our potholed roads in Caronport. I thought they were bad, till I came here!!!
Today all the campers arrived at 1pm. We've had a good day with them and Will shared his first message tonight with the group. It was a little challenging because we needed a translator. So it was kind of new territory for him, but he did well.
